Dedicated to the memory of Bill

Bill was a much loved son and brother who passed away on the 7th April 2009 after a long and brave fight with an aggressive brain tumour (Glioblastoma Multiforme).

Bill was diagnosed in April 2005 and was grateful to Dr Sarah Jefferies and her team for the few years that he did have between diagnosis, the tumour returning and ultimately death. So much so that he left a legacy to the Oncology department at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

This legacy of £14,000 enabled Dr Jefferies to set up the William Brown Trust. The Trust money provides education and training for the specialist nurses and student doctors into high grade brain tumours like Bill's. Hopefully in the future it will help prolong the lives of those diagnosed with this dreadful aggressive tumour.

We miss our dear son and brother dreadfully but raising money for the Trust means that he is not forgotten and gives us a purpose and a goal to aim for.
